Why don't the big retailers like Game, Makro, Builders Warehouse etc. stock Fatboys?

A major driving force of the Fatboy philosophy is to create a truly South African product, and provide jobs for our people. We only manufacture products of the highest quality, and ALL our materials are sourced locally. It goes completely against our philosophy to try to compete with cheap, low quality products that are imported and sold by the big chains en masse. When you buy a Fatboy product, you're stimulating our economy and supporting our philosophy. You are buying a locally manufactured, supported and guaranteed product, and we'll be there to look after your valuable investment for years to come.

Every Fatboy product is hand made with passion which would be lost on mass distribution. For this reason, we distribute through a hand-picked channel of resellers, that are just as passionate about our philosophy and our products, and this ensures further stimulation of our own economy.

We offer preferrential pricing to our resellers / stockists and work on a fixed reseller agreement, allowing them to make a lucrative profit on sales. We stipulate the Recommended Retail Price, but you have the option to sell our products at your price. We do not enforce minimum purchase quantities, but we do offer a larger discount to stockists that move higher quantities.

Fatboy carries the cost of marketing and directing clients to our resellers. You will be advertised on our website, and in our marketing campaigns at no cost. We do also sell our products online from our website, but only at the RRP so as not to create unhealthy competition with our partners. This ensures that clients can purchase anywhere in the country, even in areas where we don't have a physical presence.
